What takes the time
Today's timetables come from the Bus Open Data Service, which publishes them as operator-wide bundles rather than per service. A line that has never been looked up needs its operator's bundle read, which can take a few seconds; after that it is cached and instant. A pack of fifty routes takes a couple of minutes the first time and seconds thereafter, so the work runs in the background and this page follows it.
